General conditions
Article 1 – Application
The general conditions apply to any stay in chambres d’hôtes A L’Epoque, unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by the owner.
Article 2 – Length of stay
The stay in chambres d’hôtes A L’Epoque can only be for tourist reasons, with a limited duration of stay.
Guests can under no circumstances invoke any right to perpetuate the stay.
Article 3 – Reservation
The reservation is not valid until the guest has remitted payment.
Chambres d’hôtes prices include breakfast and coffee/tea.
Article 4 – Rates
The rates as listed on the A L’Epoquewebsite are the prevailing rates.
Article 5 – Balance
Meals, drinks, etc. will be settled on the morning of departure.
At chambres d’hôtes A L’Epoque, debit cards cannot be used.
Payment can be made by cash, direct bank transfer or French check.
Article 6 – Cancellation by the guest
Any cancellation must be notified in writing or by mail.
The following fees will be charged:
- for cancellation up to 30 days before arrival: the payment will be refunded 100% to the guest.
- for cancellation between 30 and 15 days before arrival: 50% of the payment will be refunded to the guest.
- for cancellation less than 15 days before arrival: there will be no refund.
If the guest does not arrive by 7 p.m. on the day of arrival, without prior notice, the reservation will be cancelled.
In case of shorter stay than booked, there will be no refund.
Article 7 – Cancellation by the owner
In case we are obliged (due to special circumstances) to cancel the stay, the guest will be informed immediately by phone, in writing or by e-mail.
The guest will receive a refund of previously deposited amounts immediately.
Article 8 – Arrival and departure
On the day of arrival we welcome guests between 16.00 and 19.00 hours.
In case of a later arrival than 19.00 hours we ask guests to consult with us in advance in connection with the possible table d’hôtes on the day of arrival.
On the day of departure guests can dispose of the room until 10.30 am.
Article 9 – Residence tax
The residence tax (taxe de séjour) is a local tourist tax, which must be paid to us by the guest.
The owner is obliged to remit the tourist tax to the French government.
Article 10 – Use of the chambres d’hôtes
Guests are expected to keep the peace and use facilities, buildings, guesthouse and own guestroom and furniture only for their intended purpose.
The guest will leave the room in good condition.
Article 11 – Peaceful environment
We expect guests to be considerate of other guests in the chambres d’hôtes, neighbors and the environment.
Article 12 – Smoking ban
There is no smoking in the house or in the guest rooms.
By agreement with the owner, smoking is allowed on the terrace, provided it does not disturb the other guests.
Article 13 – Beverages and food
We follow French alcohol laws for chambres d’hôtes with restaurant license.
No alcohol is provided to minors under 18 years of age.
Furthermore, it is not allowed to consume your own (alcoholic) beverages and food in the dining room, in the guest rooms and on our outside grounds.
In the dining room, guests have access to a refrigerator with various drinks for a fee.
Article 14 – Registration
We are required by French law to register all persons of nationality other than French.
Guests are requested to fill in a form with some personal data and a signature.
We do not provide data to third parties.
