Table d'hôtes at a l'Epoque
Join us at the Table d'hôtes
In the evening you can join us (if you like) for a cozy table d’hôtes. Together at the long table in our former goat stable – now a cozy dining room overlooking the garden. We serve a delicious 3-course meal with beautiful French products, with herbs as much as possible from our own garden. It’s a warm, informal evening: good food, quiet dining and chat – without crowds.
The table d’hôtes in the French countryside is perhaps the best part of staying with us. No menu, no rush, no formalities. Just good food with attention, at a pace that suits you.
Max prepares everything himself, using fresh produce from local suppliers and herbs from our own garden. The menu changes every evening, depending on the season and what’s on the market. Think dishes with beautiful French cheeses, fresh vegetables, meat from the local butcher and of course a good piece of baguette to go with it.
Dinner usually begins around 7 p.m. with an aperitif or appetizer, followed by three courses. Weather permitting, we sometimes eat outside on the terrace. Meanwhile, we like to share our tips about the area, or hear stories from other guests. It feels more like an evening with friends than a restaurant.
Our 3-course menu costs €24 per person (excluding drinks). A variety of wines, beer and soft drinks are available. The table d’hôtes is by reservation – please let us know at least two days in advance if you would like to join us for dinner. In case of dietary requirements such as allergies or vegetarian, we ask you to let us know three days in advance, and we will gladly take this into account.
Meals are served in the common dining room, where breakfast is also ready in the morning. There is room at the long table, but it always remains cozy and small-scale – there are a maximum of four rooms, so you are never in a large group.
Local produce and own garden
We deliberately choose short lines. Our vegetables and herbs come from our own garden whenever possible, supplemented by products from the local market. The cheeses are French, the bread fresh, the wine from the region. No imports, no rushing – just honest products that taste good.
This is also what our guests often mention in their reviews: the food feels personal, made with care. Not like a restaurant, but an evening where you are truly welcome.
Our tip: combine with 2 nights
With one night you mainly arrive and leave. With two nights you have time to really relax: a quiet evening at the table, a nice day in the region and a relaxed breakfast. This is the ideal formula for us.
Tip for a real mini vacation: stay 2 nights and combine a relaxing day in the area with a cozy evening at the table d’hôtes.
